Help in a hurry
Help in a Hurry is a short-term, urgent support service for women who need immediate help and connection to the right services.
It is designed for situations where someone is feeling unsafe, overwhelmed, or in need of urgent practical or emotional support, and needs help to access specialist services such as counselling, crisis services, housing, legal, or family violence support.
Help in a Hurry focuses on assessment, support, and referral, rather than ongoing or in-depth counselling. Our team will listen, help identify what support is needed, and work with women to connect them with appropriate services as quickly as possible.

You can visit us without an appointment if you need help in a hurry 10.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday.
Help In A Hurry is a free service. This service is not a general drop-in, social space, or ongoing support service. It is specifically for women who need urgent assistance and help navigating next steps.

There are many other organisations in Christchurch offering support to women. We can provide recommendations and referrals. Information on other Support Agencies is also available on our website.
Please note: We are unable to provide counselling for gambling, alcohol or substance abuse.
