Akoranga:
Courses and Workshops

Finding strength in community, together we can enrich each other’s lives. The Christchurch Women’s Centre provides a broad range of low-cost courses and workshops in our group space at 48 Fitzgerald Avenue, Christchurch.

  • Our courses are short programmes made up of multiple sessions that build skills over time. They focus on topics such as wellbeing, stress management, emotional resilience, confidence, and personal growth. Courses provide practical tools, guided learning, and a supportive group environment, with the same participants attending each session.

  • Workshops are usually one-off or short sessions focused on a specific topic or skill. They offer practical information, hands-on tools, and space for reflection, and are a good option for women wanting to explore a topic without committing to a longer course.

  • To book on to any of our courses or workshops please follow the booking instructions included with each listing below. If you have any questions regarding a course please feel to contact us.

Some of our courses and workshops have a service fee that goes towards covering overheads and keeping services running. Where applicable details of fees are also listed with the description below. If you have any concerns about affordability please feel free to chat to us. Once you have booked on to a course or workshop, our admin team will send you an invoice with instructions on how to pay.
